The team at Isary Fitness came to us to discuss the company branding and launching of their website. We initially worked on the logo, using the colours given by the Isary team. We created the company branding and applied this to the logo and the website. The website will give customers the opportunity to find out about the various classes available for all members of the family, and the benefits of exercise. We have also set up a blog within the website, so the Isary Team will be able to share the latest news and fitness tips.

The website will be launching very soon.

Beyond the Borders

2017-08-03T20:04:51+00:00

websiteDilly Arts commissioned Boxwell Web Design to create a website for it Beyond the Borders project. It is a creative “Arts in Prisons” project that explores the history of the Border Reivers in Hexham Gaol through the eyes of present-day prisoners. Beyond the Borders is a permanent digital installation at Hexham Gaol, which features three hand held, digital Time Windows, that look through the prison walls and travel back through time. Each Time Window reveals the personal histories of former inmates, captured and held in Hexham Gaol over three hundred years ago.

Project Brief

Boxwell Web Design was required  to compliment the animation work from Arcus Studio, and create a Moodle learning environment where students can take part in interactive learning activities. Study guides were created and printed, to be distributed to visiting school classes. Consistent branding was to follow the website through to the print materials.

Henry Dancer Days

2017-08-03T20:04:51+00:00

Henry Dancer Days is a fantastic charity set up in 2012 by Jane Natrass, in memory of 12 year old Henry Dancer who died as a result of Osteosarcoma. The charity helps families who find themselves in the same situation offering practical support when it’s most needed.

The charity supports children and young people under 18 years with Primary Bone Cancer. Grants are given to families whose child is undergoing treatment. Additional support is offered to them should they find themselves in palliative care.

Project Brief

When Jane approached us about her site, we were delighted to be able to support such a worthwhile cause. We updated her site to have a slicker, more professional feel to it. The site includes embedded facebook posts, twitter links, and an events page.

As a total luddite I was SO grateful to Boxwell Web design for making my new site so easy to manage. Nothing was too much as we set it up and Graeme went the extra mile in helping me to understand what would and wouldn’t work. I’m now thrilled with my much clearer and easy to use website for our charity

Project Brief

Susie at www.susietate.co.uk needed a site to advertise a variety of different dance areas that she is involved in. She also wanted to have a biography section. Her design requirements were for a clean, minimalist and modern site that is eye-catching. We gave particularly close attention to the typography and images for this site.

Susie liked the one page design we showed her. This is clean and very stylish and fits with the branding she has developed for her work.

Boxwell Web Design also provided photography to enhance the visual impact of the site.

“I am about as technical as a tomato and the idea of building a website was very daunting to say the least! However, Graeme has led me by the hand all the way, quickly picking up on what I would like and making clever suggestions …and all in basic ‘ tomato ‘ speak! I am really delighted with the website Graeme has built for me – clean, slick and captures exactly the feel of the work that I deliver.”

Debbie at www.laurea.co.uk is looking for a business website with a stylish feel to it.

Project Brief

We are going to design a ‘one page’ website, where all the information is on one long page, and the browser will scroll to the relevant sections as required. Its a very modern and fashionable website style that can look very striking.

Dilly Arts is an arts development not-for-profit company established in 2011 by Alison Redshaw and based in the small North Pennine rural village of Allendale in Northumberland. They work across the North-East of England. Dilly Arts specialises in devising, delivering and managing high quality arts development programmes across  North-East England communities. They excel in innovative arts practice which provides opportunity for artists to work on challenging and exciting projects which contribute to their professional development, whilst working with communities most in need and ‘hard to reach’. This includes, but is not restricted to their portfolio of work within North East Prisons (HMPs) and Youth Offending Institutions (HMYOIs).

Project Brief

Alison was looking for a site that was colourful and light. Within the Dilly Arts website there are integrated project blogs, facebook news streams, twitter user and hashtag streams, as well as everything else you would expect to find in a site with such a diverse portfolio.

Whenever I’ve been involved with generating a new website in the past I’ve always been fortunate enough to have a member of the team liaise with the website ‘magicians’ – I remained wholly oblivious as to how this, what I call ‘magic’ occurred. So when it came to needing to set one up for my own arts development company, needless to say I felt somewhat daunted and overwhelmed. I approached Graeme with a strong idea of what colours I wanted to use, what messages I wanted to get across and a rough outline of content areas. However I had no idea that certain ‘magic’ was possible such as aligning the website to Facebook and twitter. Graeme led me through the process in a way that made sense to me – not an easy task when it comes to things technical or ‘magical’ – opening my eyes to possibilities and gently suggesting how we might pull things together and make improvements. I’m delighted with our website which, appropriate to our company, remains a work in progress to be updated as we grow and develop. I found working with Graeme so insightful and productive that I invited him to join our board of directors – he’s now a hugely valued member of team Dilly Arts.
